We’re reviving a feature from a few months ago, highlighting a favorite photograph I’ve snapped with my iPhone during my ramblings around the city. I’ll post these shots as they surface.
Today’s photo features a portrait of legendary screenwriter, director, actor, comedian, author and playwright Woody Allen. The specifics:
When: Thursday, June 21, 2012.
Where: Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at MGM Grand.
The Circumstance: Garrett has decorated his club at MGM Grand’s Star Lane Shops corridor with renderings of some of the giants of comedy, including Steve Martin, George Carlin and Robin Williams. Hanging from a beam near the middle of the club, and peering down on my seat Thursday night, was Allen. Garrett has hung the works by comic/artist Steve Altman as a tribute to those who paved the path -- or, in this case, the concrete walkway -- to his club at MGM Grand.
