Quick Bites: Fukuburger, BurgerFi, STK, the Underground and more Vegas food news

David Chang’s Momofuku pop-up to-go concept Bāng Bar officially opened on April 1 at the Cosmopolitan’s Block 16 Urban Food Hall, a nod to the traditional global street meat market, and it’s open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

The Linq Sandwich Co. has opened on the Strip at the Linq Hotel, serving sandwich favorites like Philly and chicken cheesesteaks, meatball subs and potato-crusted fried chicken. The new concept takes the food truck-styled spot over from Sticky Chicken.

BurgerFi has opened its first Las Vegas Valley location in Henderson on St. Rose Parkway. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. serving the franchise’s premium Wagyu beef and vegetarian burgers, chicken, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, shakes, frozen custards and more.

Fukuburger has teamed with the local Feature brand boutique to create a limited-edition combo meal and exclusive apparel capsule launched on April 2. The Feature combo meal is available until April 16 at both Fuku locations and includes a burger with the traditional Fuku patty plus glazed pork belly, yellow daikon pickles and wasabi mayo and a side of truffle fries for $16. The first 10 people who order it each day will receive a complimentary bottle of Crack Sauce. The apparel capsule is available at both restaurants, in-store at Feature or online at feature.com and includes two graphic tees, a commemorative chef’s shirt and an apron.

The Underground speakeasy and distillery inside the Mob Museum is celebrating its third anniversary all month long with live entertainment, moonshine tastings, drink specials and extended hours. To find a special event schedule and a list of specials available in April, visit themobmuseum.org.

Ethel M Chocolates recently announced two tasting events taking place during weekends this month at the Ethel M Chocolates Factory and Cactus Garden. New exclusive mimosa and chocolate tastings featuring four signature pieces paired with fruity beverages will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday at noon and 3 p.m., priced at $35 per person. Reservations can be made at ethelm.com.

STK at the Cosmopolitan is relaunching weekend brunch on April 10, available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bottomless mimosas or bloody marys and a DJ will highlight the experience featuring favorites from chef Stephen Hopcraft’s brunch repertoire, like lobster and eggs Benedict, hot chicken and waffles, and cinnamon French toast.

Throughout the month of April, Tao Group’s Las Vegas venues Tao at Venetian and Lavo at Palazzo will be offering two signature desserts, with proceeds from each dish going to benefit Kulture City and Eden II Programs in recognition of Autism Awareness and Inclusion month. Tao’s giant fortune cookie and Lavo’s Oreo zeppole are the sweets to eat if you want to help these local organizations.

Landini’s Pizzeria, new to Las Vegas from San Diego with its first location on Russell Road, is offering $1 slices of its signature New York-style pizza to diners who present proof of COVID vaccination on Tuesdays in April, starting this week. The limit is three slices per guest per day.

Carson Kitchen in Downtown Las Vegas has launched a new spring menu featuring chef Scott Simon’s fresh offerings including gyro tacos with lamb, tzatziki and feta; mu shu mushroom flatbread with soft egg; beet tartare toast with pistachio and goat cheese; short rib steak with sambal butter and kimchi chimichurri; and Hawaiian mac with Spam, furikake and pineapple vin.

Makers & Finders has unveiled a new menu at its Arts District and Downtown Summerlin locations including the breakfast empanada skillet with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and cheddar cheese; La Bandeja Paisa with a six-ounce grilled filet mignon, crispy pork belly, fried maduros, sunny egg, rice and beans; and the Ranchero Burger with rajas, caramelized onions and pork belly. New coffee drinks and desserts are also available.
