One of the largest food truck festivals on the West Coast is back. Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, a sports-themed restaurant with a Louisiana-inspired menu, opened March 28 at Harrah’s Las Vegas in the former home of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill. It’s the first Strip location for the franchise founded in 2003, which features dishes such as crawfish étouffée, duck and andouille sausage gumbo, and Krispy Kreme Donut bread pudding.
The latest concept announced for the 40-acre mixed use community UnCommons in southwest Las Vegas is General Admission, an elevated sports lounge with live entertainment, a chef-driven menu, sports viewing and more. The 180-seat lounge and 1,900-square-foot patio will host more than 30 screens, and the kitchen and bar will serve tapas-style appetizers, fresh seafood, dry-aged steaks, desserts and an extensive draft beer, whiskey and tequila selection. General Admission is scheduled to open in the fall.
NoMad Bar at Park MGM is now offering weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Live music is part of the fun while guests dine in the main room or on the patio, with a menu that includes the Truffle Chicken Sandwich, smoked salmon with trout roe and everything crumble, a suckling pig breakfast burrito, and lobster Benedict.
