It seems like delicious Japanese noodle shops have taken over Las Vegas, and now it’s official. The Las Vegas Ramen Yokocho Fest will be part of the fourth annual Aki Matsuri, or Japanese Autumn Festival, on October 19 at the Rio.
Ten ramen shops from Las Vegas, LA, San Francisco, San Jose and Japan will serve up their regionally authentic, carefully crafted soup noodles at the fest, presented by Japanese newspaper Weekly Lalala. Local restaurants participating include Monta and Sora. The Japanese entry, Hiromaru, has a shop in Astoria, New York, while the award-winning Ramen Iroha from LA will be dishing up its trademark black mapo ramen. In other words, this is gonna be tasty.
Las Vegas Aki Matsuri is presented by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Nevada and will be held from 11 a.m. until midnight. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door, and ramen at the Ramen Fest will be $7 per bowl. For more information, visit lvakimatsuri.com.
