The Life Is Beautiful festival is coming back to Downtown Las Vegas on September 17-19 and the event’s culinary lineup has been announced, including more than 70 chefs and restaurants in the Vendor Villages and other food and drink experiences available to general admission guests and VIP and All-In ticket holders. Among the specialized events: Cocktail School with Bryant Jane and Lyle Cervenka of Starboard Tack; the live-fire Cookout with Justin Kingsley Hall of Main St. Provisions; the Omakase Cantina curated by Jolene Mannina featuring Nicolas Costagliola of Guy Savoy, Gina Marinelli of La Strega and Brian Howard of Sparrow + Wolf; and the Farm Stand from Diana Edelman featuring vegan bites from Tiabi Coffee & Waffle, Pots, Chikyu, Souley Vegan, Underground Burgers, Paradise City Creamery and more. Announced last week, Superfrico will open on September 24 in the former Rose. Rabbit. Lie. space at the Cosmopolitan as Spiegelworld’s first fully integrated dining and cocktail concept. The company behind popular Strip shows Absinthe, Opium (which reopens next door to Superfrico on the same night) and Atomic Saloon Show has created a new and different supper club experience in Las Vegas with a culinary style described as “Italian American Psychedelic.” Executive chef Mitch Emge, pizza chef Anthony Falco, general manager Greisy Pacton and mixologist Leo Robitschek will be behind the food, drinks and service, with a menu including pizza, fresh pasta, steaks, seafood, small plates and late-night dishes. Spiegelworld’s Heather Harmon is curating an eclectic art collection for the restaurant and free-flowing live entertainment will be part of the experience as well.

Wynn Las Vegas has unveiled the Overlook Lounge, a renovation of the Parasol Up bar and lounge near the Lake of Dreams. Designed by Todd-Avery Lenahan, the new lounge features décor in jewel tones inspired by the mosaic flooring in Wynn’s atrium with crystal chandeliers and European-inspired elements and artwork, and resort mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini created a new cocktail menu featuring five spritzes, five takes on cocktail classics and three mocktails. Overlook Lounge is open Sunday through Thursday from 2 p.m. until 3 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. until 4 a.m.

Salyulitas Mexican Food has opened on the Strip across from the Four Seasons, at 3999 Las Vegas Blvd. S. The San Diego-based restaurant serves traditional Mexican food with a Filipino twist, including breakfast burritos, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, chimichangas, seafood, specialty fries and more.

Mob Pie has opened at Downtown Container Park on East Fremont Street, offering stone-baked pizza as well as pasta dishes and desserts. It’s open Monday through Thursday from noon until 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon until 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 7 p.m.

Weekend brunch has arrived at Brezza at Resorts World, available Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Featured dishes include caviar gnocco frito, heirloom tomato caprese, a chef’s salumi and Italian cheese board, grilled octopus, and a farmhouse tart with sausage, mushrooms, walnuts and fontina cheese. Managing partner Jason Rocheleau and executive chef Nicole Brisson are also hosting an event on September 3 at Brezza to launch Slow Food Vegas, the local chapter of Slow Food USA, established to support access to good, clean and fair food and beverage through collaborations with diverse communities, local farmers and restaurants. The event starts at 9 p.m., tickets are $30 and will include small bites and drinks. Find more info here.

Teaspoon, a boba tea café founded in 2015 with more than 20 locations on the West Coast, will open its first Nevada location in 2022 at UnCommons, the $400 million, 40-acre mixed-use development under construction in southwest Las Vegas. Teaspoon’s specialty drinks include the Creamy Jasmine with sweet jasmine green tea and the Liquid Gold with honey oolong tea. The café also offers fresh baked pastries and more.
