Quick Bites: Piero’s, Peyote, Sand Dollar, Chickie’s & Pete’s and more Vegas food news

The Grand Canal Shoppes and the Venetian have partnered with Three Square Food Bank during Hunger Action Month to launch an exclusive e-cookbook featuring more than 30 recipes from restaurants including Estiatorio Milos, Smith & Wollensky, Delmonico, SushiSamba and more. All proceeds from sales of the e-cookbook will be donated to Three Square. It is available for the rest of the year for $10 at threesquare.org/ecookbook.

Peyote at Fergusons Downtown is set to debut on Friday, September 24. Live music and free samples will be offered throughout the day from the new restaurant from Corner Bar Management, and Peyote will be open from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from noon until 2 a.m. Friday through Sunday.

Piero’s Italian Cuisine, founded in 1982 by Freddie Glusman considered a legendary Las Vegas restaurant, will be returning to seven-day dinner service on September 28. Located just east of the Strip on Convention Center Drive, Piero’s will be open daily from 5:30 until 10 p.m. featuring its signature classics as well as new dishes and seasonal items from executive chef Chris Conlon.

The Sand Dollar Lounge will once again transform into “Nightmare on Spring Mountain” to celebrate Halloween and spooky season, launching the pop-up experience from October 1 until November 1. The bar will be open from 3 p.m. until 4 a.m. and covered in Halloween décor and lighting, while guests can enjoy special themed cocktails, treats from Happy Endings Chocolate, a selfie station and various costume nights and entertainment. Chickie’s & Pete’s will make its highly anticipated debut on the Strip at Sahara Las Vegas on October 6. The first west coast location of the acclaimed Philadelphia sports bar will be open daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

SBE’s S Bar, which has locations in Miami, LA and Dubai, will be replacing the former Red Square bar and restaurant at Mandalay Bay. SBE assumed operational control of Mandalay Bay restaurants Kumi, Red Square and Citizens in 2019 and also operates Hyde Lounge at T-Mobile Arena and the Delano hotel at Mandalay Bay.

Tacos & Tequila, a former Mexican food favorite at Luxor, will be reborn with a new location at Palace Station set to open later this year in the space formerly occupied by Little Tony’s.

The Kitchen at Commons Club at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has launched new daily dinner specials available from 5 until 11 p.m., including Elvis pancakes ($12) on Monday, a shrimp boil with corn-on-the-cob and potatoes ($25) on Tuesday, all-you-can-eat fettucine alfredo ($14) on Thursday, a prime rib dinner $26) on Saturday and Sunday and more.

Marigold at Resorts World has launched a new football menu available during game days including barbecue pulled pork kettle chips, mini lobster rolls, Buffalo mac and cheese bites, bacon Brussels sprouts, sliders and more.

Oming’s Kitchen on Blue Diamond Road recently launched new menu items and announced a second location will open at Winterwood Pavilion on South Nellis Boulevard in spring 2022. New entrees include adobo beef with shaved ribeye over jasmine rice, lechon, and tocino with white rice and eggs for breakfast.
