Erykah Badu, “Amerykahn Promise” (New Amerykah Part One (4th World War), 2008) With Part Two reportedly nearly completion, expect the neo-soul goddess to draw heavily from her current urban-funk phase. May 31, 9 p.m., $47.50-$57.50. House of Blues, 632-7600.

Animal Collective, “My Girls” (Merriweather Post Pavilion, 2009) The weirdo-pop confectioners are playing recognizable “songs” onstage these days. Here’s one of their absolute best. With Grouper. May 30, 8 p.m., $20-$22. House of Blues, 632-7600.

Fleetwood Mac, “Sara” (Tusk, 1979) You could spin some Christine McVie tunes, but since she’s not taking part in the Mac’s latest reunion, might we suggest one of Stevie Nick’s finer moments instead? May 30, 8 p.m., $55-$165. MGM Grand Garden Arena, 891-7777.

Xu Xu Fang, “Fascination Street” (Seven Days Now EP, 2009) What happens when an LA psych-rock collective, a Cure cover and female vocals come together? Very trippy things. With Mere Mortals, Vietnam Cowboy, Bee Movie the Band. May 29, 10 p.m., $8. Bunkhouse, 384-4536.

Santana, Samba Pa Ti” (Abraxas, 1970) At press time, the setlist for the band’s Supernatural Santana—A Trip Through the Hits Vegas residency had not been revealed, but if Carlos doesn’t bust out this instrumental gem, heads are gonna roll. May 28, 30-31, June 3-4, 9 p.m., $75-$151. The Joint, 693-5583.

Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, “Palace and Stage” (Palace and Stage, 2009) Now, imagine this sort of emotive tunefulness in a crazily high-energy circus-like live setting, and you begin to get a sense of the SoCal indie outfit’s full appeal. With The Clydesdale, The Big Friendly Corporation. May 28, 10 p.m., $5. Beauty Bar, 598-1965.
