Aruban metalfest

Hometown favorites Losing Tomorrow are playing as part of Metal Mayhem, a two-day fest at the Aruba Showroom.

Typically home to jam bands, the occasional punk show or next weekend’s Neon Reverb fest, the Aruba Showroom might seem an odd fit for serious metal.

But Christopher Pancoast, better known in the local music scene as Pan, believes he can pack the room by bringing in quality local and regional metal bands. And so comes this weekend’s Metal Mayhem, a two-day fest presented by Pancoast and business partner Dave Bunyan. Hometown favorites like diM and Losing Tomorrow will share the stage with bands like Tucson’s LeVel XIII, fresh off a tour with Static X.

Advance two-day passes are affordably priced at $10 in advance (get ’em from any band on the bill), and look out for $3 drink specials between sets.
